About the Project

Explore Renewables is a public-funded initiative from regional development agency One NorthEast. The three-year project will work across middle and secondary schools in the North East and is aimed at Key Stage 3 pupils, but can also be applied at other stages of learning.

The project consists of 3 components: a portable demonstrater unit to enable hands-on learning of the solar thermal technology concept; related teaching resources in a CD-ROM; and a website to support knowledge exchange between participating schools.
