How to Get Involved

Update

Following the successful launch in April 2008, and the four regional training events in June 2008, the Explore Renewables project has entered the next phase of its programme.

Step 1: Sign up!

Schools wishing to participate in the project must now contact Science Learning Centre North East for further details on how to get involved. It is anticipated that the Science Learning Centre will continue to offer training in the Explore Renewables project through their Continuing Professional Development programme.

If you would like to participate, please confirm that your school is eligible and then contact the Science Learning Centre for further information:

Step 2: Get Trained!

Schools must send at least one representative for training in order to then receive their teaching resources and Solar Thermal Trolley.

Step 3: Get Going!

Once school representatives have attended the short training session, Explore Renewables will arrange for a Solar Thermal Trolley to be delivered to each participating school. Schools will then be able to plan the incorporation of Explore Renewables into their activities for the next academic year.

More to come in September 2008

Competitions and activities will be organised for schools participating in Explore Renewables from September onwards, to encourage information exchange and collaboration between the schools.
