The New and Renewable Energy Centre is the North East's Centre for Excellence for New and Renewable Energy. The organisation works with engineers and manufacturers to help design and develop cutting-edge renewable energy technology, finding ways to use renewable energy in the future.

eaga

eaga is the UK's largest provider of residential energy efficiency solutions designed to tackle environmental, energy efficiency and social issues such as fuel poverty. A FTSE 250 company, eaga works with governments, local authorities, social housing providers and utility companies. Since its inception in 1990, eaga has installed insulation, heating and other energy efficiency measures into more than 5 million homes and lifted several million people out of fuel poverty.

Centre for Design Research

The CfDR is a fifteen-strong multidisciplinary design team within Northumbria University, which works with both private and public sector organisations to develop better products and services. Their work is distinguished by a user-centred approach that ensures the added-value they create is of tangible benefit to customers.

Science Learning Centre

The Science Learning Centre is part of a national network for professional development in science teaching. The Centre support teachers in enhancing their professional skills by learning more about contemporary scientific ideas, and in experimenting with effective teaching approaches and gaining experience of modern scientific techniques.
