What is Solar Thermal Technology?

Solar thermal is a clean and efficient means of capturing energy from the sun to provide warming of water and help meet the hot water requirements of a building. The basic principle is easy to understand. If you unroll a garden hose on the ground and leave it exposed to the radiant heat of the sun, in a short time the water in the hose will become warm. Solar thermal collectors work in very much the same way, only more efficiently.

Solar thermal systems have no moving parts and as a result require minimal maintenance. They do not produce any greenhouse emissions or other by-products, and are silent when operating.
